EX8000 Extender Latest Update 1.0.1.238 Problem
Hi
I updated both my Netgear EX8000 Extenders to the latest firmware 1.0.1.238 I am running a BT Smart Home Hub 2 router on a FTTP 900/110Mbps package I've noticed since the latest update after a few hours the 5ghz speeds are affected and go very slow. I have tried a factory reset on both extenders also I have tried flashing the same firmware update again but this issue seems to occur all the time. I have now downgraded my firmware back to the last revision 1.0.1.232 and they both work all ok again like they should. There seems to be a fault in the latest firmware rolled out.

Re: EX8000 Extender Latest Update 1.0.1.238 Problem
If you feel this is a FW issue, I would let NG support know about this. Seems like it maybe since rolling back to working FW fixes it.
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the WiFi Extender products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with WiFi Extender products and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:
