EX8000 WiFi Range Extender installation
I replaced my Nertgear AC1750 (R6400) router and EX6200 Netgear Extender with the following : a NIGHTHAWK AC3000 TRI-BAND WIFI ROUTER (R7900p) and a NETGEAR Nighthawk Mesh X6S TRI-BAND Extender (EX8000). Their softwarw is up to date. Both are connected via WPS because this gave me the best signal for all three wireless bands. The house is very wide. The EX8000 can't be physically moved & is placed at one end of the house. The EX8000 is within visual linear sight of the R7900p at about 80 feet away, making the EX8000 slightly off-center of the house. Although speed has increased and signal mesh are good from my previous systems, wireless coverage to the most distant (from the R7900p & beyond the EX8000) is spotty or absent. How could I best try to use my older EX6200 to improve either 2.4 GHz or one of the 5.0 GHz signals? Can I extend by using the EX8000 signal or the EX6200 must be connected to the R7900p? I am aware I can use the R6400 as an access point that must be hardwired. Thanks

Re: EX8000 WiFi Range Extender installation
Hi @EmmettNet,
You can setup your R6400 as access point if it can be wired to R7900P by following link.
You can do the same for your old extender EX6200 using below link.
Do remember, your EX8000 should be placed exactly half way between R7900P and place where your devices are to get better signal as well as performance. Do the same if you are making your R6400 or EX6200 as AP where extender must be half from them and devices.
