EX8000 extender keeps dropping in and out

My EX8000 keeps dropping connection to my R7000 - when it works it works amazingly but when it doesnt it hell on earth.

Anyone from Netgear support able to help out and get me a debug firmware so I can at least figure out why, when the lights are all on, the extender is not..?

Start with the R7000.

Firmware on it? The R7000 has been known to have problematic firmware. The agreed upon stable version is the 1.0.9.42 version.

I'd install that firmware, factory reset the router, and then manually install it (not from backup). 

Then attach the EX8000 and see how it works. 

The router is the backbone of the system and it has to be rock solid for the extender to be solid.
