Ex2700 output power
Finally got my ex2700 extender up and working, terrible experience, lots of trial and error. It appeared to not help coverage, so I did some testing. Received signal from the router measured at extender was -60dbm, very good. Re-transmitted signal was -78 dbm, measured right next to extender, very bad. It appears the extender has very low power output. Once again Netgear disappoints. Any suggestions?

Re: Ex2700 output power
What router do you have?
The EX2700 is the most basic extender netgear offers and is a simple N300 device.
It'll extend range a bit further than the router but isn't going to do much more than that. and not at any sort of decent speed either as its a pretty slow device.
What are you trying to accomplish?

Re: Ex2700 output power
Router is Centurylink C1100T, works well.
My living room is quite a distance from the router and I was hoping to improve service by putting extender halfway.
