Hi, I'm new here. My extender client link led is suddenly showing a red light alot and also switching back and forth between green and red constantly. I'm not getting the range that I was getting also as I find my Iphone constantly on the carrier not the extender. Any help appreciated. i know it's an old extender. My wi-fi is 300. Thanks.
The wnr3000rp is an older wireless N 2.4ghz device.
2.4ghz is much more sensitive to interference because there's less channels available, more devices available, and 2.4ghz broadcasts further than 5ghz. Maybe there's been added devices to your area.
Have you tried changing the wireless 2.4ghz channel?
You also put that its the client link that's going red. Thats the connect between a device and the extender. As devices move around they're going to change their connection.
