I installed the WiFi Extender and set it up to use the same name as the Netgear wireless router. Also for the 2g and 5g to use the same name. I really can't tell if I'm connected to the extender or not since there is no separate designation. My Kindle Fire seems to not be connecting because it drops out continuously. How can I change the settings so that the extender name shows up in the selection of connections. sorry if this seems to ramble. I'm not to tech savy. Thanks in advance for any help.
What router are you connecting to? (model and firmware)
What firmware is on the extender?
How far from the router is the extender?
What is the materials of your house?
have you tried changing wifi channels? Maybe there's interference on some of the channels. You can download free apps or pc programs that scan wifi channels. this will allow you to pick the most ideal channels.
What are all the led's showing? (color, blinking/solid)
