Instead of using WPS to have the Main Router and EAX20 Mesh Extender connect; can they work together via CAT6? I have a CISCO switch behind my AC1900 Router that runs to RJ45 jacks throughout my home. Can I use one of the Ethernet ports on the extender to connect into the network or do they need to connect via wireless connection?

If you hardwire in the extender, you'd need to rerun setup and set it up in access point mode.
