Extender SSID
Is it possible to have the EX6200 actually act as a range extender, or is it always an access point that has to be connected to? I have a D6200 and I would like to erxtend the range of that device with my ex6200. As far as I can see I MUST give the ex6200 an SSID....is this correct? In which case, how does this become a range extender? I guess I am obviously misunderstanding something......I really can't see the point of having my device connected to SSID1, and when I walk down the other end of the house I have to connect it to SSID2. I would have thought that the whole point of an extender is to make SSID1 available everywhere.
Like I said, I am guessing that I am misunderstanding something....

Re: Extender SSID
Yes you would need a separate SSID when using the EX6200 but we just came out with the EX8000 that will keep your network as 1 SSID.
