What extender will improve reach of/be compatible with my netgear Nighthawk ac1900 wi-fi cable modem router (model c7100v). Wi-fi connection weak in some rooms in my house
What I'd recommend? Is one of the triband extenders.
Reason why is a standard extender has to recieve and retransmit using the same chip. and it can't do both at once. So it cuts throughput in half. the triband's help mitigate that by reserving the 2nd 5ghz band just for router----extender communication. Much better performance.
