I use Nighthawk to set up extender and everything checks out and it connects to the router (5 or 2 G), but I can't find the extender when trying to connect to it.
Nighthawk setup finds it, but it is nowhere to be found on the list of WiFi networks after setup completes and says all is well.
If its a mesh extender and you set it up using wps or the default setting, it sets up as a mesh. meaning it uses the same ssid as the router and lets devices roam as needed between them.
