Firmware Update Email
I got an email about needing an firmware update for my wifi extender that I have had for at least about 2yrs now. I attempt to log in to the mywifiext and routerlogin and am met with an error message about not being connected. I have cleared out my browser history, switched between MIcrosoft Edge, Google Chrome, Safari, and even my cellular browsers, all getting the same thing, both through wireless and wired connections. I don't know what else to do. I am unsure as to whether I had it set for auto update or not as this has served me for some time. It works still, but had me concerned saying about needing the update for security reasons. I manually went to the Netgear site as well, rather than trusting some link(s) in an email. Is this spam, or do I really need the update? And if I need the update, how do I do so when I am blocked every turn I take. Can anyone help? FYI, I am no tech guru, so please keep it in simple terms for me. I've tried finding answers from other posts on here, but no luck, so now it is up to someone to rescues a lost browser! Thanks in advance!

Re: Firmware Update Email
try to log into the extender using the ip address of 192.168.1.250 and then once in the extender go to the firmware page and check for updates.
