Firmware update - WN2500RPv2
I received an email that a firmware update v1.0.1.54 was available. I clicked on the link and it took me to a page explaining how to update https://kb.netgear.com/000057115/How-do-I-upgrade-firmware-on-my-NETGEAR-WiFi-Range-Extender. I was on the internet via my extender and was able to log into the extender. I selected Firmware Update, and then Check Online, and it told me I wasn't connected ot the internet. However I am connected. So I then tried to upload the firmware update, but when i browse and double click on the downloaded file "WN2500RPv2-V1.0.1.54_1.0.68.chk". Nothing happens.
I guess I don't know how to update the firmware?

Did you follow the instructions here: https://kb.netgear.com/000059691/WN2500RPV2-Firmware-Version-1-0-1-54 They are consistent with (but somewhat different than) the link you posted.
Normally you don't double-click. You navigate to the file (using "browse"), and select it with a single click. Then you press upload.
