Firmware update on EAX20 and now slower internet speed
I have just updated the firmware on my EAX20 extender and whilst i was getting download speeds of 110 mbps before, i am now only getting 9. any ideas why that might be the case and how to fix it? i have reset the extender but no difference.

Re: Firmware update on EAX20 and now slower internet speed
the EAX20 is a mesh extender. Meaning it bandsteers between 2.4ghz and 5ghz.
What band is your device testing on?
2.4ghz is much slower than 5ghz.
Have you tried changing which band your router is broadcasting on? Maybe its got interference.
Current setup: CM2000-> RBKE963B-> Trendnet TEG-S380-> GS716T-> pi-hole
also in AP setup: RAXE500->EAX80
1.4gig download/50mbps upload from Xfinity

Thanks. Forgive me but I’m not very technical so please can you tell me how to change the extender to broadcast on 5ghz only. I have the nighthawk app but can’t see how to change it on there.
