Firmware upgrade to Ex6100 extender stopped it working
The Firmwware upgrade to V1.0.2.24 stopped the extender working. It also changed the log on from User Name and Password to Email Address and Password. Since I had never used my email address to log on I couldn’t access the settings to find out what was wrong. I did try my User Name instead of the email address but that didn’t work. I had to reset the extender to the factory settings and set it up from scratch. I got no warning the extender’s firmware was going to upgrade, the first thing I knew about it is when my Smart Tv no longer connected to the internet and I then noticed the client link Led had gone off on the extender. I had accessed the extenders settings two weeks ago when it wanted the User Name and not my Email address so I knew the change was a recent one. All up and working again but I thought a post might help others in the same situation.
