Help connecting Netgear universal WiFi Range Extender to new router
Hello!
I really hope you can help please.
I've been using the Netgear Universal WiFi Range Extender for some 5 years now without any problems.
However, I've recently changed Internet provider and now my range extender won't work.
I've reset the factory settings on the extender, plugged it in and tried to connect it using mywifiext.net. However, I can't access this webpage even when the router and extender are in the same room, even though the extender shows as having a full WiFi signal and all its green lights are on! If I can't connect to this website - and I've tried multiple times! - please can you advise me what I can do?
From online research, I've gained that the extender should work with a new router. However, I need to know how I can connect them if I can't access the Netgear webpage which would allow me to change my password to the new Internet details for my new router.
I would really appreciate all your help @netgear community!!
Many thanks,
CMeach

Re: Help connecting Netgear universal WiFi Range Extender to new router
Easiest, fastest way?
Connect a pc/laptop to the ethernet port on the side of the extender. then try: http://www.mywifiext.net
Include the full http://
Also, if you're doing a reset, make sure to push and hold reset for 7-10 seconds while the device powers up. The lights should change when its been pushed long enough.
