Help... oops pages do not help!!!

When I type in www.mywifiext.net I am taken to an oops page.  From that page I am routed in an oops loop.  How do I install my WiFi Extender

Re: Help... oops pages do not help!!!

Which NETGEAR extender are you setting up? What router are you connecting to the extender?

Please try in your browser

mywifiext.net (without www.)

or

192.168.1.250

I get the same thing on my WN2500RPv2 and neither of your suggestions worked for me

Re: Help... oops pages do not help!!!

Hi fairytailchihua,

Is this an initial installation?
Which router is connected to your extender?

Please confirm that your computer is connected to "NETGEAR_EXT" (the default network name of the Extender)
Then open a web browser and try either of the addresses mentioned above.

Re: Help... oops pages do not help!!!

No this is not initial installation and my externder works fine I just can't access my settings. I think the router is Lynksis. I live in an RV Park and the router is in the office. Before I bought the extender I could barely stay connected and now I have the ability to play games so I'm very happy. For some reason just out of the blue my settings page appeared so I'm not sure what was done differently. Sorry

Re: Help... oops pages do not help!!!

Please confirm that your computer/device has no other path to the internet (disconnect any ethernet).

Connect to your extender network and try the addresses above.
Please also try different web browsers.

If you're still experiencing issues, please try resetting the extender to factory defaults

Yep, doesn't matter what you do, you're stuck in an OOPS! link loop.

This Netgear WiFi extender is trash.

Re: Help... oops pages do not help!!!

Hi, I just purchased the WiFi Range Extender AC750 Model EX6100. I'm also getting the "oops" message. My problem is, I set up the extender and can not log into it because I don't have the passsword. I can't figure out how to change the password because I am unable to log onto the genie. Please help.

Re: Help... oops pages do not help!!!

Hi RR-JeffP,

http://support.netgear.com/product/EX6100

Please see the user manual (page 39 of 48):

http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/EX6100/EX6100_UM_27Oct2015.pdf

and reset your EX6100 back to factory default settings.

Then go to page 9 and follow the setup procedures.

Connect to the _EXT network and open a web browser.

Go to mywifiext.net (make sure you are connected to only the _EXT network and no other internet connection such as your router)

Follow the on-screen setup.

After setup, your default credentials for mywifiext are:
user = admin
password = password

The password to connect to your extender's WiFi network should be the same as your router (if the box was checkmarked to make it the same as your router)
