How do I change my wifi password on a plw1000v2

I recently needed to change my Wifi password on my Nighthawk R7000 not realizing I would need to change it on my PLW1000 extender.  Now I have a continuing conflict depending on where I am in our house where iPads, Iphones keep disconecting from the network because the pasword is incorrect.  It appears mywifiext doesn't support the PLW1000 anymore and netgear won't offer any help without a new service contract.
