How to seamless extend R8300 Hardwired
Hi! I have a R8300 connected to the internet that covers half of my house (is on a corner of the house). I have an ethernet wire that runs from that location to the other extreme of my house.
How can I add another AP that is hardwired to the R8300 that shares the same network name and provides seamless swap from one AP to the other (basically I want to walk around the house automatically switching network without ever dropping the connections).
Thanks!

Re: How to seamless extend R8300 Hardwired
You can use a router in access point mode (or an access point) and then use the same ssid.
Most newer devices will roam between the 2. It won't be as seamless as an actual mesh network that is designed for it but it should work.
If you're wanting to go as seamless as possible, then I'd upgrade to an actual mesh network like orbi
