Hurricane Ian & EX7300v2 — AC2200

After Hurricane Ian rolled through causing numerous power outages, my extender quit. All lights are on, cannot do a factory reset. I'm an old man and do not understand how this new technology works (or breaks). Any suggestions?

Re: Hurricane Ian & EX7300v2 — AC2200

When the power light is lit up amber, it usually indicates a boot issue/corruption issue. Storms are great at causing this.

You can try recovering it with tftp or nmrpflash.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10

and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash
https://github.com/jclehner/nmrpflash

If that doesn't work, you might be SOL and if you have other damage to the home, turn it in to home owners as the power surges might have caused issues
