I need help in selecting the right wifi extender for an AC 1750 Smart Wifi Router - Model R6400.
I currently have a Netgear AC 1750 Smart Wifi Router - Model R6400 running in a two story house with a Xfinity triple play modem (Arris Model TG1682G). The wifi extends througout the entire house, but gets weak enough on one end of the house that perfomance on Zoom and similar apps becomes spotty at times. I would like to get the best wifi extender I can to improve Zoom performance, but am not tech savvy and have no way to distinguish between all the Netgear extender options. Would appreciate any guidance anyone can provide. Being non tech savvy, also would appreciate a recommendation on an extender that a novice (me) can hook up to my current router/modem. Thanks.

I'm a fan of the tri-band extenders if you're looking at extenders.
Reason why is a standard extender has to recieve and then retransmit. And it can't do both at once. so it automatically runs at 50% throughput from the start.
The tribands mitigate that by using the 2nd 5ghz band just for router----extender communication. For this reason, they have better performance and capabilities. they don't extend further but what you do connect to is faster.
The only caveat that I'll say is if you're thinking you might need more than 1 extender, I'd look at a mesh system. Mesh extenders work great but when you're needing more than 1, its much better performance, stability wise to go with a full mesh system.
