Keep saying password is incorrect
I tried to connect devices to this new WiFi range extender using the same password as the router but it doesn’t connect saying the password is incorrect. I reset it a few times but no success and the same message keeps repeating. Noticed a few earlier posts stating the same issue with no specific solutions. Router firmware is up to date and I couldn’t find way to update the range extender’s firmware.
Appreciate if someone could help to resolve this issue.

Are you setting it up via WPS?
WPS doesn't always gets coded the same and can cause issues. Try factory resetting the extender and reinstalling it using the installation wizard and NOT wps.
- Andy74AspirantMany thanks for your quick response. I’m not that techy.... can you please advise how to manually set up using installation wizard whilst you cannot connect to the internet using the extender network?
My understanding is that you have to open the browser using the extender network connection. Help much appreciated- plemansGuru - Experienced User
You can set it up without being online.
Factory reset the extender and then simply follow the "netgear installation asssistant" guide from the installation guide.
