Linking NETGEAR WN3000RP N300 EXTENDER to TV box

I have linked my extender with the WiFi router but don't know how to reset TV box to identify -EXT home wifi rather than the non-extended signal.  Can I use the WPS button procedure again, pressing the OK button on the TV box while pressing the WPS button on the extender?
