Make my X8000 use the second 5ghz channel on the R8000
I have an X8000 extender and an R8000 router. I've set them up to work together and that's working 90% as I expected. But the X8000 connects to the router using the first 5Ghz connection not the second. The second connection has channels 100 and higher which are needed for the higher speed between the two devices. I can't find any way to make this work on either device. I naively expected the two devices to work it out between them, being the same brand and family. Lololol. Can anyone explain how I can make work on that second connection?

Re: Make my X8000 use the second 5ghz channel on the R8000
the EX8000 has a 1733mbps connection and a 866mbps 5ghz.
They're designed so the 1733mbps is the backhaul. You can force the 866mbps to be the backhaul but then you're using a lesser bandwidth backhaul.
Easiest way to do it? disable the one band on the r8000 that you don't want to act as backhaul. Then factory reset the EX8000 and rerun setup. It'll use the band on the same channel as the router for the backhaul. Once its setup, just re-enable that radio on the r8000.
