Mesh network using R8000 with EX7000

Recently i bought EX7000, trying to create a MESH network with my R8000.

Wondering if "one SSID" setup means MESH?

I did setup one SSID. The problem is my device connect to R8000 signal and it is not switch to EX7000 signal automatically.

While i am standing next to EX7000 (R8000 signal dropped to 60%), it didn't swap to the signal from EX7000.

I have to disconnect the WIFI and reconnect again so it connected to the EX7000 signal.

Any help/advise?

Re: Mesh network using R8000 with EX7000

Doesn't mean MESH, means Smart connect is enabled using 1 SSID name for both 2.4 and 5Ghz radios. The router and EX determine along with the device on what frequency they will connect to.

Turn OFF the wifi radio on the device first then go near the R7000, then turn the wifi radio back ON on the device. It should connect to the R7000 if its properly setup. Devices determine what signal to connect too.
