Mesh system issues with video calling: R7000 with EX7500
is anyone experiencing issue with video calling in a mesh environment?
My home Wi-Fi set up is as per follow: DM200 modem, Nighthawk R7000 router and EX7500 Mesh extender. Internet speed throughout the house is about 40mbps download and 7mbps upload and all latest sofwares are installed in the 3 Netgear devices.
When video calling on my mobile using either WhatsApp or Messenger, the call drops out when I move from one side of my house (nearest to the router) to the other (nearest to the mesh extender). My expectations from the marketing blurb were that I would experience seemless Internet across the house using the same network. This is obviously not the case in this situation, it is like I am jumping from one "unmesh" extender to another one.
Can anybody concur with my findings? Would Orbi not have the same issue?
Please let me know - this is driving me crazy! I tried on both 2ghz and 5ghz, no difference.
