Mesh w/ dual-band router

Hi All,

 

I have a Nighthawk AC1900 Dual-Band Cable Modem Router but need a ethernet plug (LAN) in another room.  Work laptop works significantly better with hard connection than over wifi.  Can I add a Home Mesh system to the AC1900 dual-band?  If so, how?

    Are you talking a mesh extender or a mesh solution like netgear orbi? 

    They're a little different in how they function and work.
