Model EX2700 won't connect
I just replaced my router but my old, reliable N300, Model EX2700 won't connect to the new network. The power and WPS lights are on and solid but the extender is not finding the network on either my computer or iPhone. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Verizon G3100
Is that the new one, or the old one?
If you upgrade your router to something half decent, I'd also look at upgrading the extender. That extender was slow when it was released 10 years ago. Even a half decent dual band will be a significant improvement.
Unless you're using it for pretty slow IoT devices, it's going to be anemic in performance

Re: Model EX2700 won't connect
Thanks Guru.
I was finally able to get the extender connected.
Your comments about upgrading is right on. I did try to install a new TP Link RE550 this week but it failed. Factory support could not get it to connect to any of the three Verizon G3100 routers I installed this week to address other internet issues. I suspect the TP Link problem was an anomaly but I gave up and sent it back.
The old NetGear, when now connected, is doing fine but I may go to a mesh network.

Re: Model EX2700 won't connect
If you try different extenders, make sure to go in on the G3100 and disable self organizing network (son).
Its verizon's take on mesh satellites but it can be disabled so standard extenders can be used.
I'm betting the EX2700 was old enough it didn't matter but the tp-link did
