Model number n300 /WNR2000v3 do I need an extender

I m using  a Mac OSX  10.12.3.  I just downloaded th elatest firmware.  I am having some difficulty getting connecting to teb router from the opposite en og the house. Would an extender help this problem. The house is almost 2,000 sq feet all on one level

Hello Dcm

Yes it could help if you place the extender somewhere between where you need signal and the router it will help get to the dead spots in the house.
