Model EX7300 step 8 bolth the new extenders come up in phone with letters and number instead of wifi name. Normal Wifi password does not work. I believe I did everything right so far
If you connect to the extender via ethernet port and log in via www.mywifiext.net login with admin/password then go to the wifi settings and you should be able to change the SSID and the password. If this is still not working I would suggest factory resetting the extender and try the setup agian.
