N300 cable modem router compatible with Orbi (RBK752)?
Before buying and opening an expensive Orbi mesh system, I'd like to be certain that it will be compatible with my current N300 cable modem router. I've googled the heck out of this and can't find a clear, convincing answer.
If 'yes', would my N300 limit the Orbi system?

Re: N300 cable modem router compatible with Orbi (RBK752)?
The C3000 is a pretty base model router and modem.
Its going to limit anything you connect to it.
You can put it in modem only mode and connect the orbi to it no problem. But its modem side is only a 8x4 modem. so depending on what your ISP allows for speeds on the that, it will be the bottle neck.
But yes, it will connect and function fine connected to the RBK752
I'd just make sure to put it in modem only mode.
And if you do ever upgrade your speeds, purchasing a better modem isn't hard.
Plus we usually recommend people run modems seperate from routers anyway 🙂
