NETGEAR Ex6120 - constant switching networks?
Hi,
Just bought and definite improvement in signal quality when I connect devices to the “_5GEXT” extended network in other rooms in the house.
Possible stupid question - if I’m the room that my actual router is placed (and has the strongest signal in the house) is it the case I have to reconnect my device from the EXT network to the original network every time I move to that room? In other words its a case of having to constantly switching between
both main and EXT networks if I’m moving between ‘router’ room and other rooms?
Cheers

Yes.
But you can try changing the EXT network names to match your router. Then your devices often will choose to roam between the networks. However, you still might need to toggle wifi off/on on the device when you change "zones" - that depends on how aggressively the clients roam.
