NO NETGEAR_EXT AMONG AVAILABLE NETWORKS
When I search for available network for initial wireless setup I do not find NETGEAR_EXT unsecured, I only find DLIN_EXT secured and it requires security key which is nowhere to be found.

Try to factory reset the extender by holding the reset button for 10+ seconds then see if the network name changes.
