Did you set it up using wps or the installation wizard?
Reason I ask is that its a mesh extender. This means it uses the same ssid as the router and lets your devices (phone/tablet/etc) roam between it and the primary router as needed.
You can always disable this but its half the reason of buying a mesh device.
