NetGear WiFi Range Extender- not connecting to new router

We bought a new router and now we cannot get the range extender to connect to it. It worked fine with out other one. The old one was a netgear router, but the new one is asus, does that matter?

My husband tried to set it up using the WPS, but it is asking for a PIN number, which we don't know where to find. Can anyone help?

Hi @jac_pace,

Welcome to the community!

1. You can try resetting the extender back to factory settings then go through the setup procedure. The links below may help out.

Reset: Page 39 of the user manual on this link.

Installation guide: Here.

Hello. Do you know where to find the PIN number? It has been reset to factory settings and then hit the WPS button and it is asking for a PIN.

Hi @jac_pace,

The PIN is usually generated by the router. You may contact the router manufacturer for support regarding the PIN.
