Netgear 6100 extender - can't connect to network

It won't prompt just by connecting to it. 

Once you connect, you have to go to mywifiext . net

then it should take you to a prompt to set it up.

Solved! As I could not connect via mywifiext I found a way via http://192.168.1.250/ and connecting the router + externder through WPS.
