Netgear AC1200 EX5000 Extender

I have an existing AC1200 EX5000 Extender and want to Extend that signal further on

How do I set up the new Extender to look for my existing extender?

How do I set new extender up, Using the Router or the Extender and WPA.

I highly recommend not daisy chaining single/dual band extenders.

Reason why is single/dual band extenders drop throughput (speed) 50%. The reason this happens is that they have to go router---extender and then extender---device using the same chip. And the chip can't do both at once. So the speed drops.

If you daisy chain and add another extender, the 2nd extender is at 25% speeds and it'll have higher latency.

You can try to centrally locate the router so you dont' have to go router---->extender----->extender

Or you could check into switching to a mesh system like orbi. I'd recommend a triband system if you're needing to daisy chain. The dedicated wireless backhaul makes it tolerate daisy chaining better.
