Netgear Extender Defaulted to channel 48 for 5 ghz but Router is at channel 153 for 5 ghz
Netgear Extender Defaulted to channel 48 for 5 ghz but Router is at channel 153 for 5 ghz. Is this ok? I believe the recommended settings for the router for 5 ghz is between 100 to 161. So was just checking if this made sense, or if the extender should be on the same channel as the router for 5 ghz? Note, the router and extender are on the same channel fo r2.4 ghz. Thanks in advance.

I am having the exact same issue. I can't figure out how to get the router and the extender to connect on the 100GHz channel.
I will keep an eye on this thread in case someone has an answer.
Good luck.
