Netgear WiFi extender AC750 Router Link LED not lighting up

I have a Hitron CODA-4589 router in my new home. I used this WiFi extender in my last home and it worked fine, I moved here and now it’s having problems. I factory reset the extender. The power LED will stay solid green, and the WPS LED will stay solid green, but the router link LED and the device link LED will not light up at all. The extender recognizes the router and I can successfully go through the “mywifitext.com” smart set up and get everything in line. But the router link will still not light up and I cannot access the Internet with the extender at all. I am not out of range of the router either. I can get into the router settings but I cannot find any “Access Control List” in order to see if the extender is being blocked. I do see a list of connected devices that includes the extender and it does not say it is being blocked for any reason. PLEASE HELP

I usually don't recommend this but did you try using the wps setup with the extender in the same room?

Yes, I did. That’s the part I find weird. When I press the WPS button on both the extender and the router, they light up solid green as if they are are connected. But the router will still not let it access the internet

Can you set a static ip address in the router for the extender?

Or check to see if the router is blocking its mac address?
