New Computer Causing Issue with N300 WiFi Range Extender

Greetings:

I recently bought a new Dell all-in-one desktop and connected it to my home network via ethernet. Other devices that aren't in my room are on an extender - a N300 WiFi Range Extender - Model WN3000RPv3

Last night, the extender stopped working with those devices. I thought I had figured it out, but, long story short after testing, the new computer is causing the issue. I've tested it without the computer being on, and those devices are working fine. When the new computer is on either via ethernet or wi-fi, the conflict returns.

I'm not sure if this is a Netgear issue or a Windows 11 issue. With it being a new computer, I'm leaning towards some setting being in conflict, but I really don't know where to start at this point.

Any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

what modem/router do you have?

If the issues happens with just the modem/router and the new PC, then I'd be contacting the PC manufacturer with issues or checking their forums.

Is the desktop hardwired into the router or into the extender?

Just an FYI, that extender is v3 of a model released in 2011. Its a very slow extender and based on wireless N tech. Its 4x generations behind (AC, AX, AX 6ghz, BE)

The desktop is hardwired into the router/modem, and, yeah, I know it's old. If I need to replace, I'll be happy to do so.

Thank you for the response.

Re: New Computer Causing Issue with N300 WiFi Range Extender

The other issue seems to be even when I take the extenders off, the computers/machines/etc. that were using the extender won't connect to the main network. That's why I'm leaning towards some issue with the new computer itself, but I've never had a situation like this before. I had a laptop plugged in to the modem/router via ethernet, and it was fine. It was not Windows 11, I don't think, so I'm not sure what's happening.
