New router won't sync with AC1200 range extender.

New router won't sync with AC1200 range extender.

The new router had no trouble connecting to my iPhone, Samsung tablet, printers, Blu-ray plyaers or anything else I have wireless.

When I try to setup the EX6200 extender it's a no go. I have done a reset, tried it WPS and through the website with no luck. Took it to a friends house who has a Netgear Nighthawk R4000P and it synced right with no problem??? I appears the new router doesn't like the old extender for some reason.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Re: New router won't sync with AC1200 range extender.

Got the Extender working.

Ended up doing a complete reset of the router, setting it back up and doing the same to the extender. They connected on the first try.

 It took more than I thought it would, but like they say the end justifies the means.

1. what router are you connect?

2. what firmware is on the router?

Current setup: CM2000-> RBKE963B-> Trendnet TEG-S380-> GS716T-> pi-hole
also in AP setup: RAXE500->EAX80

glad to hear you got it working!

Sad it took so much to get going.

I'd mark your issue as solved so others aren't trying to fix it still 🙂
