Nighthawk Application with Netgear AC1200

Hi All,

My first time posting to the community, hoping for some insight.  I have the range extender ac1200 hooked up to my network and works fine.

I recently read that I can monitor and check on it with the nighthawk app on my phone, not that it's a necessity my any means.  However, when I sign into the app, and I'm connected to my home network I am not able to find the extender at all.

I'm not sure If I'm not choosing the right thing in the app or if I'm missing a step?  Sorry to be vague but wanted to start this topic to hopefully figure this out.
