Nighthawk EX8000
Our cable provider had to put in a new router. I was able to get the device connected by connecting to a computer. I cannot log into the admin on the app. .i have tried the admin password and the password I had. Nothing works and the reset password will not work. it says the device is not connected when I got the router log in.

the mywifi . ext doesn't always work because the router has to connect the devices. If you have this issue in the future, log into the router and find out the extenders IP address in the router. use that to connect to it.
but if you're able to connect to it, and don't know the password, and the recovery function doesn't work. Then your only option back into it is to factory reset it. Many just push the reset button. It has to be pushed and held for up to 30 seconds while the device is powered on.
The it should be back to defaults.
default login: admin
default password: password
all lower case.
