Nighthawk MK62 WiFi 6 question

Nighthawk MK62 WiFi 6 question

Researched and purchased a Nighthawk (MK62) (AX1800).

Why in the Nighthawk app does it refer to it as "MK60?" The box says MK62 and there isn't a MK60 as far as I can tell.

Is this, in fact, a WiFi 6 router?  Your website says it is:

  • AX1800 WiFi 6
    • Radio 1: IEEE® 802.11b/g/n/ax 2.4GHz–1024QAM support (600Mbps)
    • Radio 2: IEEE® 802.11a/n/ac/ax 5GHz-1024QAM support (1200Mbps)
    • Tx/Rx: 2x2 (2.4GHz) + 2x2 (5GHz)

Re: Nighthawk MK62 WiFi 6 question

Its like the orbi kits first came out. A RBK53 was a kit with an RBR50, and 2 RBS50s. So the K for kit. 5 denotes the series, and the 3 denotes how many devices in the kit.

The MK62  is a kit of the 6 series with 2 devices.  A MR60 and a MS60

It is a AX. its a 2x2 antenna arrangement and AX anteanns are 300mbps in 2.4ghz and 600mbps in 5ghz. so 300x2=600mbps of 2.4ghz and 600x2=1200mbps in 5ghz. total of 1800mbps.
