Nighthawk R7960P best mesh suggestion
My customer bought his new Nighthawk 6months ago.
In order to specify a second AP for downstairs, I was thrilled to see satellite mesh. Then the description that says only works with....
This name convention is thoughtless of Netgear to use the nighthawk name. (If Netgear has an incompatible new product, perhaps it should have been called Dayhawk.)
Am looking for low latency mesh like like Asus AIMesh. Not interested in old tech extenders that mess up when printing.
Help me pick a compatible mesh unit for his Nighthawk
Thanks

Re: Nighthawk R7960P best mesh suggestion
Orbi is netgears line of mesh routers/satellites.
They do have some mesh extenders but they aren't a full mesh system like orbi with a router managing the system.
They rely on the device (phone/laptop/etc) to roam based off its own protocol.
I looked through the R7960P's listing and couldn't find it listed anywhere as mesh. And it isn't a mesh router. you can add a mesh extender to it if you'd like but it isn't a full mesh system like orbi.
Current setup: CM2000-> RBKE963B-> Trendnet TEG-S380-> GS716T-> pi-hole
also in AP setup: RAXE500->EAX80
1.4gig download/50mbps upload from Xfinity
