Heya, so I have a Netgear: Wifi Range Extender and my computer and phone can connect to them just fine. But I only have about 1 bar of signal and it's making it very difficult to do anything online, even just loading a web page can take ages. I tried moving the extender, shifting the router as well and nothing seems to be helping boost the signal. Is it possible the extender is set up wrong or is there anything I can do to further boost the signal.
I should also note that when connected to the extender my ping fluctuates from around 40ms to around 15-16k ms, which is ridiculous if you ask me. The internet is almost completely inusuable for what I want to be using it for.
Check for firmware upgrade on extender if any and try to change wireless channel on Router. What is distance between router to extender and extender to devices?
