Not enough ports N 300
Hello,
I have run out of ports on my N 300 range extender.
I am using it in my AV system.
What device can I add to add more?
Most appreciated

Re: Not enough ports N 300
The WN3000RPTv3 only has one ethernet port, so I am thinking that you might have specified the wrong model.
However, you can just connect a gigabit unmanaged switch to one of the extender's ethernet port, and you should be good to go.
For instance, a GS208 (current US Amazon price is $19.00). That would give you 6 additional ethernet ports. (one of the switches 8 ports is connected to the extender, and a second one goes to whatever device is connected to that extender port now. That gives you 6 more).
Note some older devices (including the WN3000RPTv3) only do 100 mbits ("fast ethernet"). But they will work with a gigabit switch, and I wouldn't purchase a fast ethernet switch at this point.

Re: Not enough ports N 300
Absolutely correct!
I got the model number wrong.
It is a WN 2000 RPN V2.
Thank you
