PLW1000v2 : disable PLC and make it just a WiFi point by ethernet
Hello,
I have 2 PLW1000v2 (and mabe I'm going to buy 2 more).
I would like to disable the PLC.
I would simply connect them by Ethernet to my ISP Box.
They will broadcast WiFi with ethernet connection.
I can't find the option in the interface mywifiext . net to disable the PLC.
How to do ?
Thanks
Niki

PLC = Power-line communication
= Network in power cable
= main technology of the product

the whole purpose of the poweline device is its powerline. If all you're wanting is the wifi AP, you'd be better off with a range extender in AP mode.
I've never seen an option to turn off the powerline connection on these devices.

Re: PLW1000v2 : disable PLC and make it just a WiFi point by ethernet
And that's a shame. Because I now have the possibility to cross house walls with an ethernet cable to connect WiFi modules to my ISP box and having a more stable WiFi extension by using Ethernet instead of power line. It's silly to have to buy a new electronic device because it's impossible to disable PLC. PLC always in operation creates malfunctions when several modules PLW1000 are plugged in, even if they are connected by ethernet, because they try to communicate with each other by the power line....
TP-LINK make WiFi modules working with PLC or Ethernet.....
