Just installed my Nighthawk X4 AC200 extender and I don't need to type in a password for any of our phones to be connected even though my existing wifi network requires a password. Is this normal or does it mean that my network's security is compromized by the extender.
You can log into the extenders webpage to see if you set it up with security enabled. mywifiext.net should take you to the extenders webpage where you can log in and look at your wifi settings.
did you set it so the extender has the same ssid and password as your wifi? Or is it different?
