Powerline 1000
Can you connect a Netgear Powerline 1000 to a Netgear ProSafe Gigabit Switch instead of your router? My ports on my router are completely full...

Re: Powerline 1000
yes you can go Router-->switch-->powerline-->powerline. I've done it before and it works great.

Might get more responses too if you post in the powerline forum.

Re: Powerline 1000
Thank you for your response! Does the Switch with the Powerline 1000 have to be in close proximity of the Router? My router is in a bedroom closet and the switch is across the house plugged into an ethernet port in my office.

the powerline just needs ethernet access to the router/switch. Doesn't matter if its going through a switch to get there. I've even ran
router-->switch-->switch-->powerline-->powerline-->switch. It ran fine.
