Problem with extender not recognising password

I need advice please about getting my net gear extender working with my new Router with Vodafone- it will not recognise the WiFi password. Someone said it might be that it doesn’t recognise a character in the password. Someone else said to use the Assistant I stead of WPS.... which Assistant? Where?

WPS can get coded different between manufacturers. That's where the installation assistant comes in. here's the install guide for it.
